September 2026: film discussions and the weekly recap

September was about the time between film nights, and about giving people a reason to come back.

A discussion under every film

Every film in a club now has a threaded discussion, separate from reviews, with replies, spoiler tags and @mentions. You get a notification when someone mentions you.

Weekly recap email

If you missed something in your clubs, you get one email a week at most with new films, reviews, polls and nights. If nothing happened, or you've already seen it, nothing is sent. Admins can turn it off for a club, and anyone can turn it off for themselves.

Picker rounds

Clubs that use the wheel can mark the film that closes a round, so everyone gets a turn before the wheel starts again.

Smaller things

• Invite pages now show the group you're joining.
• Readable stats and bigger tap targets on phones.
• A Letterboxd link on your profile.
• Replies to suggestions you send us now arrive inside the app.
