One movie night is easy. Ten is hard. It usually stops for two reasons: half an hour lost choosing the film, and nobody setting the next date.
Choosing all together is the slowest way. It works better to decide first whose turn it is, and accept their pick.
A fixed date holds up better than "let's talk soon". Every two weeks, or the first Friday of the month. If the group is spread out, you can watch the film together on a video call.
The five minutes after the credits are the best part. Vote before you comment, so everyone has their own opinion, then compare. After a few months the history becomes the reason to keep going: who's the harshest, which film split the group, who made the best picks.
It's free and all you need is an invite link.
Two is enough. Above eight or ten it's better to choose the film with a poll.
Often there isn't one. Taking turns works better: everyone discovers something new and whoever picks tries harder.
