Reviews from film clubs
Bax (Cult of Cinema Knowledge), 6.5/10: The Brad Pitt film doesn't live up to expectations. It slips into clichés and loses any real depth. What remains are a few memorable sequences, like the assault on Jerusalem, and a Pitt who carries the whole thing on his shoulders. A bit of tension, a touch of action, an average film.
Levi (Cult of Cinema Knowledge), 5/10: This is not a good movie, but I had an Ok time watching it once I suspended my disbelief. It had some fun action set pieces, but fails from most other aspects, especially the pacing of the third act. Pity.
sam (Cult of Cinema Knowledge), 6/10: It’s fine! I’m a big Dawn Of The Dead (2004) fan, that’s the peak of zombies for me. The ending of this is also really stupid. It’s also not really a zombie movie in the classic sense, but I think it wants to be.
